Poblacion is one of the most important commercial centers in Makati. It is home to the Rockwell Center and Century City, two of the most upscale areas in Makati. It is also the city's center of government, culture, history and entertainment. Poblacion has a total land area of 1,034,200 square meters (11,132,000 sq ft), that is 3.80% of the total land area of Makati. 3.20% or 17,120 of Makati residents also live in this area, or 17 residents per 1,000 square meters.

About The Podium

The Podium was developed in December 2001 and officially opened in August 2002 as a joint project of Singaporean company, Keppel Land and BDO Unibank. The mixed-use development has a floor area of 140,000 m2 (1,500,000 sq ft) and consists of a shopping mall of the same name, which has a floor area of 50,000 m2 (540,000 sq ft) and two office buildings built on top of it, having a total floor area of 90,000 m2 (970,000 sq ft).
